When we understand who God is, His identity, we understand what He does, His activity. A false understanding of God, results in a false interpretation of His actions. We may think God is mean, or has favourites, or punishes us for wrongdoing. But that’s not what God is like....
There are many tensions we have to live with. Two things that at first appear to oppose one another, and we wonder which one is right. Things like what we have received, and what we are receiving. And many of us find this difficult to live with.
The breath we breathe is a work of God, our heart that pumps is a work of God, our blood that flows is a work of God, a new baby is a work of God, the new sunrise is a work of God. A changed life is a work of God.
When we come to Christ, He abides in us. We are transformed. We become a new creation. (2 Corinthians 5:17). We take on the character and the culture of a new Kingdom, the Kingdom of God. There is a sense that we don’t fit. We don’t fit in here, we can’t connect with the world, we just can’t become one-of-them.
What we think, speak, then do, is of huge importance. Our thinking determines more than we think — if you get my drift. The adage is true: thoughts lead to actions. Actions lead to habits. Habits lead to character. And character leads to destiny. It all started with thoughts.

(RSV). There’s a nasty insidious menace wreaking havoc in modern society. It is the computer virus.
In secular fields, there is a lot written and blogs published devoted to ‘finding your life purpose’. People are looking for the wonder of knowing they’re in their sweet spot, doing what they were ‘purposed’ to do.
