A Brief Word each month
Stephen writes “Brief Word” a Brief Word to encourage and inspire! Usually less than 1,000 words it is sent worldwide to over 30 nations.
As with many things, it started with an idea, many years ago, almost before the days of computers. But, also as with many good ideas, it’s time did not come until later, when with the wonders of computer technology, we can now write and send information all around the world at a minuscule cost.
The dream and purpose of the Brief Word is really very simple: it is to be “A Brief Word to encourage and inspire!” That’s it! Something we can all read in less than ten minutes, and also something we can print off, keep for future reference, and share with others. We believe the Bible has the power to transform the human heart, change behaviour, heal past pain, equip for present and future service, and, it points us to Jesus Christ! It has answers for living in today’s world and protects us against the enemy’s schemes. We certainly need plenty of the Bible in our lives!

I would like to tell you how this particular word affected my life. A few years ago I was feeling very low and couldn’t figure out what was wrong with me. It was like a black cloud had descended on me and no matter what I tried I couldn’t seem to shift it. And the Lord gave me this particular scripture, which I wrote out and carried in my pocket and repeated every time I put my hands on it. My depression and feelings of being very low and heavy left and I find myself often repeating this scripture and passing it on to others. I find this is a perfect prescription or antidote for depression. Regards
